This is a logo for a bubble teashop in Pasadena called
Tpumps. This design element functions as a logo for some of their flyers and
posters and other promotions. I originally saw this logo in their Pasadena
location on a flyer promoting their job opportunities. But this specific one I
found online and is promoting the opening of a new location in Foster
City. This is a good idea because it
uses the “U” in the Tpumps to mimic one of their bubble teas; the straw in the
tea also mimics the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco. Their color pallet is
based off of the Golden Gate bride and the bay beneath it. That is why there is
reds and blues in the image. The other letters may have been chosen grey to
depict the iconic fog that is seen over the bay or it could be grey to mute out
the other letters and have the focus on the letter “U”. The designer probably chose the Golden Gate
bride because Tpumps is originally from San Francisco, so the design brings
their product and their original location together.
This is another logo for a café; this café is located in
Anaheim near Disneyland. This design element also function as a logo and a
representation of the café. This logo is intended for café goings and is
supposed to be an image that will when seen will be associated with the
café. The café has been open for over a
year now and has had this logo since their opening. So the function has not
changed over time. The colors used are dark pinks or reds, the same color as
berries, which go along with the café’s name Brew berry café. The front and the
rest of the images are simple and easy to decipher. This Desgin is just okay;
it is not horrible but not great either. There could be done better. The coffee
cup in the shape of a raspberry is clever but could have been done better.
Maybe use of a gradient to create depth might help to make a better design. But
overall the design works for its purpose and that’s what matters.
